Beautiful 18th century neoclassic oval gilt mirror in the manner of Robert Adam. Stunning and elegant, this 'Etruscan' style was not only popular in England in the late 18th century, but also made its way to the nobility in Denmark where the famous royal architect and interior designer JC Lillie commissioned similar mirrors to adorn the magnificent Danish neoclassic Palace Liselund. This piece may possibly have come from there.
Crested with urn adorned with floral accents, and flanked with foliate carvings. Danish. Plate of later date.
